Got Mackie out on a Kayak finally. We did a paddle around the tori gate and headed south through the rocks towards Isshiki Beach after watching UW win the Pac-12 Championship!

Workbreak paddle with Chad as we paddled around the Tori Gate and south a bit during a breezy sunny day. It was good to get Chad out on the water.

Now that I have a more kayaking friendly car, I can kayak other locations in Japan. Launched from Jogashima Island on a beautiful New Year’s Eve Day with Mt. Fuji out; hard to believe it’s the middle of winter here. I kayaked a lap around Jogashima Island before heading up north into Koajiro Bay.

The backside of Jogashima is awesome with cliffs and numerous rock formations. In between the island and Miura Peninsula was very calm waters and heading up North had nice rocky coastlines with clear waters.
